Wave of homes, H-E-B, medical district coming to 2,300-acre Furst Ranch

Homebuilders are starting construction on a master-planned community known as Furst Ranch, as infrastructure buildout on the property continues. The land owner involved says a wave of retail, a medical district and a hunt for a corporate relocation are on the way.

Work on the 2,300-acre Furst Ranch has been ongoing since 2016. Plans call for 1,400 homes, 500,000 square feet of retail, a potential medical district, schools and about 450 acres of open space and parks. H-E-B purchased land in the community last year for a future store. The community is in Argyle Independent School District.

Starwood Land, Lincoln Properties and Ramrock Real Estate LLC are the developers on board for Furst Ranch. Starwood acquired the property from Hines last year as part of a $800 million land deal across Texas.
